My Name is Marshall Korshak, I am a second generation wild ginseng buyer, grader, and exporter. I work with my father, Steven. We specialize in the highest quality wild American ginseng roots from North Carolina. We buy directly from the harvesters to source the best wild American ginseng roots for our customers throughout the U.S. and Asia.

Our Beginning

In the early 1980’s my father trained in Hong Kong under Cheng Ching Chow, a master ginseng grader. He was then hired by Lee Yuen Fung, a ginseng grading company in Hong Kong, to be their buyer of wild American ginseng. Today, we are an independent company exporting across Asia.

For the past 12 years I have been apprenticing with my father, learning the trade, and tightening our supply chain. In 2013 we established a presence in North Carolina to buy directly from the harvesters.

We have continuously held a CITES Export Permit for wild American ginseng roots with the U.S. Department of the Interior since 1978.

We now buy all our wild American ginseng fresh, inspecting every root at the time of purchase from our shop in North Carolina. For a consistent, uniform product, we wash and air dry all of the roots ourselves. We personally pack every drum of wild American ginseng we ship.

When I am not buying wild ginseng I love to forage for it, this is me after a long day in the woods with about a pound of fresh wild ginseng
